This is a plain-language draft pending review by legal counsel. It states our intent honestly, but it is not yet a lawyer-approved document.
1. What cagnIQ is
cagnIQ, operated by Mantis Strategies B.V. ("we", "us"), is a research and education tool. It presents market data and descriptive analytics about US equities and options. It does not provide investment advice, does not make recommendations, does not execute trades, and does not connect to your brokerage. Decisions you make with your money are yours alone.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the app, you must be at least 18, and you are responsible for what happens under your credentials. One account per person; keep your password to yourself.
3. Subscriptions
The FREE tier costs nothing. PRO is a paid subscription billed through Stripe inside the app; its price is shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time in the app and the cancellation takes effect from the next billing period. Where required by law we honor statutory withdrawal rights.
4. Acceptable use
Don't scrape, resell or redistribute the data; don't probe, overload or attack the service; don't use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. No warranty
The service and its data are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Market data is delayed by 15 minutes, arrives from third-party vendors, and can be wrong, late or missing. We work to be accurate and honest about coverage, but we do not promise completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes belong to the courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
